أدان المرصد العربي لحقوق الإنسان ما تضمنه التقرير الذي أصدرته منظمة “هيومن رايتس ووتش” الحقوقية من أكاذيب ومعلومات مضللة عن تعامل المملكة المغربية مع صحفيين ومعارضين ، مؤكداً أن مثل هذه التقارير المسيسة لن تثني المملكة عن مسيرتها الرائدة في مجال الحريات والديمقراطية وحرية الرأي والتعبير مستمدة ذلك من دستورها الذي يكفل الحريات للجميع، ومنظومتها التشريعية التي تعزز مبادئ العدالة والمساواة واحترام الحقوق.
وانتقد المرصد العربي لحقوق الإنسان البيان المغرض لهيومن رايتس ووتش معتبره ”سقطة جديدة“ للمنظمة التي دأبت على إصدار بيانات بهدف تبني مواقف مسيسة ومغرضة ولا تمت للعمل الحقوقي بصلة، وإصرارها على تشويه صورة الأوضاع الداخلية للبلدان العربية دون أن تقدم دلائل حقيقية لما تدعيه من اتهامات قائمة على الكذب والتضليل وابتعاد المنظمة عن المصداقية في إعداد تقاريرها.
